Dear members,
To minimize the cost of running our club, we have to cut down on some of the current facilities of our club. Some members are suggesting that we close the current sports shop that sells sports equipment while some others recommend closing our current coffee shop which provides cakes and drinks. We also want to know your opinion on this matter.
The manager.
Question 1: Write an email to your friend who is also a member of the club. Tell your friend how you feel and what suggestions you will make and why.
Hi Jamie,
How is it going?
Have you heard that in order to save money, our club is intending to restrict the number of amenities offered to members? What an inconvenient situation! Instead of the foregoing statements, I believe the group should plan fundraising events.
What do you think?
Drop me a line soon.
Love,
Lyn
Question 2: Tell the manager how you feel, what suggestions you will make, and why.
Dear manager, My name is Lyn and I have been a member of the club since 2012. I am writing this email to express my opinion about our club's most recent notification. According to the notice, our club will be forced to limit the number of amenities offered to members in order to save money. This, I feel, will dissatisfy club members who have already paid for the equipment.
To stabilize the club's financial resources, we can market and recruit extra members, such as by hosting sporting events and bringing in more members, in my opinion. Furthermore, we should consider reselling equipment that is rarely used or broken in order to save money.
I hope that my suggestions will be taken into consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best regards
Best regards,
Lyn
